JOIN US FOR A SEASON OF BUILDING AND LIVING IN PLACES OF REFUGE

 

Join the Refuge Builders Track for the summer quarter as we cultivate a place of refuge and a sustainable mission base. Although formal classes will not be taught this quarter, you will gain new skills, gain hands-on knowledge and have a unique experience in our place of refuge.

Together, we'll nurture our farm, hydroponics, and animals and weave that with hospitality, ministry to others, and daily prayer and worship. There may be a place for you in Refuge Builders if you have a heart for community, cultivating the presence of God, refuge-building, hosting events, and ministering to others.

ROOM & BOARD

Stay in one of our cabins at the Blue Ridge, VA mission base. 

MEALS

Join the community kitchen and dining hall for three meals a day.

Refuge Builders Cost

$1,500 or $500/ month

  • Daily prayer and worship as we tend to the presence of God
  • Cultivate the farm and grow food
  • Do animal husbandry to create a sustainable base
  • Be part of a missional community
  • Participate in some base events and training sessions when appropriate 
  • Host guests and CRI Events
  • Build a refuge
  • Make honey, cheese, cure meats, grow food, etc. 
  • Enjoy the CRI base amenities, such as a pool, hiking, mountains, etc.
