Online Course Agreement

Effective Date: July 1, 2025
Organization: Crisis Response International (CRí)

Thank you for enrolling in the CRí Online Responder Training. This agreement outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and terms of participation in the course. By enrolling, you acknowledge and accept the terms below.


1. Purpose of Training

The CRí Online Responder Training is designed to prepare students to deploy as CRí Responders in disaster and crisis situations. Completion of this training is a prerequisite for deployment with CRí, along with other requirements such as background checks and approval through the CRí Responder application process.


2. Participation & Expectations

By enrolling, you agree to:

  • Engage with the course materials honestly and respectfully.

  • Complete all required lessons and quizzes to receive course credit.

  • Acknowledge that completion of this course does not guarantee deployment. Final approval is based on CRí’s application, background check, and leadership discretion.

  • Use this training for your own personal development and readiness only.


3. Intellectual Property

All course materials – including documents, slides, images, videos, and audio – are the property of CRí.

  • Materials are for personal use only and may not be copied, distributed, modified, or shared without written permission.

  • You may not use CRí’s name, logo, or training materials for your own teaching or organizational purposes without prior written consent.


4. Disclaimers

  • Non-clinical: CRí training is not professional therapy, counseling, or clinical certification.

  • Deployment: CRí cannot guarantee deployment opportunities to all graduates. Deployments depend on need, availability, and readiness.

  • Liability: You agree to hold CRí harmless for any loss, injury, or damages that may occur during the course or in future deployments.


5. Technology & Access

  • This course is delivered online through CRí’s training platform.

  • CRí is not responsible for technical issues related to your device, internet connection, or third-party platforms.

  • Access to the course is for your use only and may not be shared.


6. Termination of Access

CRí reserves the right to remove or restrict access to the course without refund if you:

  • Violate intellectual property terms,

  • Act in a way that disrupts the training environment, or

  • Misrepresent yourself as an official CRí trainer.


7. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any disputes will be handled through binding arbitration in South Carolina.


8. Acknowledgment

By enrolling in the CRí Online Responder Training, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

CRí Responder Training

Who we are:

CRI is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (est. 2007) that trains Responders to bring hope and help into the aftermath of both man-made and natural disasters.

CRI's Responder Training will prepare you to deploy with us and equip you with the necessary skills to participate in relief operations.

You will gain confidence and tools to meet the urgent physical, emotional, and spiritual needs that arise in crisis.

  • Trainings and Demos of What It Looks Like in the Field

Module 4: Self-Care

  • Establishing Daily Rhythms to Avoid Burnout
  • Signs of Fatigue: Spiritual, Emotional, & Physical
  • Compassion and Health Begin Within You First

Module 5: Emotional & Spiritual Care Model

  • CISM7 (CRI's 7-step ministry model)
  • Trauma Basics: The 4 Phases 
  • Praying with Someone in Crisis 

Module 6: Identity & Power

  • Learning to Hear the Voice of God
  • Discovering Your True Identity
  • Operating in True Power by Partnering with God

Module 7: Ministry Protocols

  • Simple, Safe, and Spirit-Led Ministry on Deployment
  • How to Love People Well in Crisis Evangelism
  • Sharing the Gospel Naturally

Module 8: After Action

  • Debrief Process 
  • Post-Care Guidelines
  • How to Reintegrate (spirit, soul, body)

Module 9: Next Steps

  • Getting Ready for Deployment
  • Staying Connected: Next Steps and Ongoing Involvement
  • Invitation to Deeper Connection and Advanced Training

Upon completion:

You’ll be certified as a volunteer CRí Responder and become eligible to apply for deployment opportunities with us as well as take advanced trainings. 

Additionally, you will likely form lifelong connections with other CRI Responders as you train and deploy across the country and around the world. 

This training is your passport to serving on the front lines of humanity’s greatest hour of need. Thank you for loving well alongside of us!
